Children can be dropped off from 8:40am when the registers open. All children should be collected from class at 3:20pm, which equates to 33.3 hours per week.

Parents drop off at the main gate and children walk independently to their class. Children in EYFS may be accompanied by a parent/carer at the start of the academic year to help them settle.

At the end of the day, parents wait on the main playground while teachers bring the children out of class. Teachers will only release a child to an adult known to them. Please ensure you inform the teacher in advance if your child will be collected by someone different or by anyone not familiar to the teacher.

We encourage children to become more independent as they grow older. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 may walk home alone if permission has been granted via a form from the school office.

Breaks and Lunchtime

All children have a 20‑minute morning break every day from 10:30 – 10:50am.

Lunchtimes run from 12:00 – 1:00pm for children in Years 1–6.

Children in EYFS begin lunch at 11:50am at the start of the year to ensure a smooth transition as they adjust to new routines and are supported by EYFS Staff.
